My guess is the Atlantic because when I was the managing editor there, the (then) editor in chief became enraged when a young and talented junior editor was offered a well deserved promotion and when she (rightly) tried to negotiate for a higher salary, he almost took her out of the running. For trying to negotiate a better salary. She was almost fired. True story. The current guy is also a real piece of work. Anyway…. Bye!!
