ICYMI, this New York mag thought experiment, “Divided We Stand” is a poly-sci nerd’s nightmare-fantasy on acid as it explores what would actually probably happen if red and blue America officially split up. It reminds us of the sort of speculative journalism (the good kind) that the New Yorker did back, ya know, when detailing the hypothetical tick-tock of Trump’s first hours in office was just a fun lil exercise. So, tl;dr, you never know when this kind of wild hypothesizing will come in handy, and you’ll wish you’d have bookmarked it?!?
