I recommend reading this BuzzFeed profile on photojournalist Devin Allen, who’s one of many figuring out how to reconcile social media with like, actual causes for good & truth-telling, god forbid.

As the nightmare of 2k16 draws to a feverish close, let us not forget how fucking on POINT the WaPo was this year — I liked this short piece on Jeff Bezos from Adweek, who named him their 2016 media visionary this week. Kind of a ~fun~ novelty at this point to read about billionaires supporting the media, no?? Plus this WaPo/Uber connect is cool, because why pull up your Spotify mid-Uber when you can whip out some light newspaper reading instead?
