I’m sure the New Yorker’s Beck profile is as life-changing as the people are saying but more importantly HAVE YOU READ the Vulture Q&A with Margaret Atwood from their ~best of the decade~ issue? Like obviously it’s a brilliant discussion about the role of dystopian fiction and how the Handmaid’s Tale author thinks about **points energetically** all of this, but how are we NOT lighting Twitter up with all the little gems like this:

Also at one point, Atwood says, “If that’s the train that’s got all the Champagne on it, a lot of people would prefer to be on that train,” and I googled this to see if it was just a lesser-known Canadian colloquialism, but it looks like it’s an Atwood original (and soon-to-be personal Deez Links catchphrase of choice).
This is just to say: enjoy every word of it! (also, don’t read it in print; half the good stuff got edited out!!)
