When video streaming is crucial to ~democracy~
Did y’all see the straight-up B.U.L.L.S.H.I.T. that happened/is still happening when A) House Democrats pulled a ~ 1960 North Carolina ~ throwback and organized a sit-in (for gun control), and so B) GOP leadership & resident prettyman Paul Ryan ordered C-SPAN cameras to be turned off? And C) the hero we all turned to (at least at first) was PERISCOPE???
It’s insane. But a huge takeaway that media peeps can get from this: know how to do the livestream video! Whether it’s Periscope, Meerkat, Facebook Live (which apparently you can get paid to use), Snapchat, Vine (if it’s shorter than 140 seconds I guess?) whatever, know how to use at least one of these in a profesh capacity.
That way, when the newsworthy equivalent of Elizabeth Warren marching into Congress with Dunkin Donuts and probably roundhouse kicking some Republicans while she’s at it happens, the Paul Ryan in your life isn’t around to prevent the footage from getting out.
Do it for democracy!!! Do it for Elizabeth!!!
"Excuse me Dunkin, do you have any donuts that taste like whoop ass? need to serve to some GOP-ers."
