TIME to **recognize**
There isn’t much point to having a newsletter if you can’t use it promote one of yr deepest core beliefs, i.e. that Ariana Grande is the pop princess of our generation, which is why we must take today to point you all to her TIME cover!!!!
It’s one of three for TIME’s “Next Generation Leaders” franchise, and her full story (and some more gloriously spring-y photos/videos) can be accessed here.
If you’re a reluctant/newbie Arianator and don’t know where to start, these are the three links we are personally forsworn to pass on as evidence that it’s time to join the high-pony movement:
The Ideology of an Ariana Grande Concert, from Spencer Kornhaber at The Atlantic. This is a great highbrow cultural read of Grande’s music and ethos, made all the more significant in the wake of the 2017 terrorist attack in Manchester outside one of her concerts (the alt headline, “Ariana Grande Stands For Freedom” is **chef’s kiss** so good).
29 Reasons To Really Love Ariana Grande from BuzzFeed’s Ellie Woodward. This trusty listicle does a good rundown of all the ways the pop star has ~lived her truth~ as a modern day feminist (fun fact: did you know her aunt was a former president of the National Press Club?? Now you do) by way of schooling chauvinist radio DJs and like Ryan Seacrest himself??
And finally, Ariana Grande Imitating Celebrities (Live on SNL 2016) is just one of many videos proving that homegirl can sing AND do fantastic impressions of other iconic songstresses.
Like Deez Links? Forward this to anyone else who needs to be indoctrinated ‘cause there’s room on the bandwagon for EVERYONE!
