The acronym that applies to virtual reality but also Jameson
To continue the virtual reality/360-degree video train of thought, here’s a link today to Digiday’s “Day in the life: What The New York Times’ first VR editor does,” which followed editor Jenna Pirog around last week as she prepped for SXSW/TechBroFest2016.
My fave line, which gives a glimpse into how wild working in virtual must be:
“Your brain is actually tricked into thinking it’s having an experience and sometimes the effect can feel a bit like sea sickness. I’m sure tech will evolve beyond this at some point, but for now when you make VR films, you have to be careful of P.P.S. (potential puke shots).”
Potential Puke Shots, eh? Be sure to drop that acronym sometime this week at Southby and/or your St. Paddy’s bar crawl of choice. Looks like it works for both!
