prolific women: may we know 'em, may we be 'em
Getting this to y’all late* but three separate stories came up on our radar today that are all about majestically accomplished women over 40 talking beautifully about their lives, their work, and yes “finally” finding and/or losing love, and you should book mark ‘em all:
Amy Sherald’s (the Michelle Obama portrait painter) “How I Get It Done,” in which she talks about wearing capelets and literally working through an “Instagram is my boyfriend” period of loneliness
This Anjelica Huston Q&A from Vulture that is a tiny history of Hollywood and probing memoir all wrapped up one
And finally, this awfully romantic Vows piece for the writer Anne Lamott, which includes maybe the dreamiest actual vows ever.
*Ya girl’s been on that GoT beat lately and cripes, it’s a fun but 999mph ride!
