It’s not just your imagination — we’re fast approaching peak Game of Thrones content saturation, because, as this nice lil’ analysis from Re/Code explains in modern-day Field of Dreams parlance, “If you publish something about ‘Game of Thrones,’ someone will read it.”
Anyway, if you’d rather eschew the fantasy scene for real world power plays, I’ve just finished reading (former deputy chief of staff in the Obama White House) Alyssa Mastromonaco’s memoir, Who Thought This Was A Good Idea, which I cannot exorbitantly recommend recommend enough, even at the risk of turning this TinyLetter into Deez Books. It's a cool, actually non-depressing look at national politics (or at least, what they used to be), with plenty of millennial woman-to-woman career advice and also a lot of darling Obama stories, of course.
