more columns should be monthly imo
If you want to fall down a good rabbithole today, I highly suggest getting into Kaitlin Phillips’ For Immediate Release columns over at Spike Art Magazine, with one of the latest, Lower Middle Class & Loving It taking aim at pandemic Twitter scolds and then some.
I also enjoyed the Underearners Anonymous one from June; going through her back catalogue made me think about how most columns out there probably should be monthly instead of weekly (she says as she writes a dailyish newsletter lollllll), because every paragraph — every line, even — of Philips’ writing here feels like it requires at least a few days to fully sink your teeth into. Anyway, you’ll see what I mean.
(Staycation wasgreat! I’ll be fully back Monday!!!)
