Two trends emerging in media hirings/layoffs lately: on one hand, traditional arts reviews are being deprioritized (see: The AP and Vanity Fair, which as of this week announced layoffs for certified legend/chief critic Richard Lawson (as well as two correspondents on the Hollywood team. Sure hope they’re hiring more on social at least because those IG captions are looking gaaaarbled babe!).
