Okay there is a HUGE CHANCE that I am the only freak who’s already obsessing over the holidays and trying to concoct increasingly improbable scenarios for traveling home even though we all know it’s not happening — I mean, it is truly horrific how the fallout of contracting COVID continues to reach new horrors? — so instead I’ve started rereading Rachel Wilkerson Miller’s guide on How To Spend Christmas Alone (which is yes from BuzzFeed aka also where I work, fwiw).
It’s just a solid lifestyle piece from 2017 that’s just full of actually pragmatic advice and wisdom re: the pressure to look like You’re Always Having A Blasty Blast especially in the coming months, plus there’s enjoyable vintage holiday photographs and a list of activities that don’t make you feel like a hopeless sack of meat. And I just wanted to share it with you guys so we can all take a minute to collective acknowledge that we will Program Our Way Through The Despair Together!!! and to give you plenty of time to bookmark for later.
