Be the no-nonsense interview subject you wish to see in the world
The unflappable radiance of women reporters in media today is one of our favorite obsessions here at Deez Links, and this Longform podcast from July, featuring the NYT’s Maggie Haberman is an excellent addition to your listening list.
As “the greatest political reporter working today,” according to an Elle profile we’re re-upping here, Haberman delivers one of the most exquisitely blunt I-don’t-give-a-fuck-nor-do-I-really-have-time-for-your-lil-podcast-my-dude interviews ever, refusing to close her laptop when asked (seeing as homegirl is literally breaking news during the taping), being ferociously protective of her sources, and when asked if reporting on Trump is like, a fun game of some sort, then shutting that gossipy House of Cards nonsense down all down with a “No. I don’t think this is a game. I think it’s pretty important.” 🔥 🔥 🔥 Flame ‘em, Mag. May we all take charge run our own shit accordingly.
