We’re forever obsessed with Anne Helen Petersen’s scientific dissection of everything from the latest iteration of the female celebrity industrial complex to “whitetopia” in western America, so it was really only a matter of natural evolution that we now have been gifted How Nashville Became One Big Bachelorette Party, her latest for BuzzFeed’s travel series that looks at what happens when Instagram, experience-driven tourism and white girl tenacity collide.

I’m personally still lol’ing the scalpel-sharp insight on mural photography, but also just in general enjoying this use of the “white people in middle America doing things” ethnography construct without getting mushy or tragique. Hope you enjoy!
